1.  I heard thy voice in my sweet dream 

     Thy sweet and quiet voice

     The voice that tells of our God’s love

     Redemption by His blood

     I listen patiently to hear

     And that to my surprise

     The voice exhort me more and more 

     To pray and always pray.

2.  While wordly trouble on my way 

     To elder skip and run

     Who gave me the golden advice 

     To watch and pray always

     I patiently listen to hear

3.  Almighty God deliver us 

     We Cherubim and Seraphim below 

     When trouble shall beon our way

    To hear our daily prayers
